As always, we are happy to do research for you. Our cost is $25.00, which includes our time, researching all materials found in our office, making copies, and postage for sending your package to you. Just email or call us at the above number or email address.

We also offer many books about Cass County that may be purchased to help with your research needs!!

We recently received a few more of the 175th Anniversary Cass County, Illinois History Books at the society office.

They are 352 pages full of Cass County, Illinois Information on local and family history. (See sample pictures below). Each book is $60 and can be purchased at the society office at 109 S Front Street, Virginia, IL. (See above for hours.) If you live out of town and are unable to visit our office, just let us know and we will be glad to ship it to you for an additional $7.00 per book. It's that time of year again!

CCHGS Annual Nut Sale has begun and will run from

We offer a variety of nuts this year, including Pecan Halves, Medium Pecan Pieces, Light (English) Walnut Halves & Pieces, Whole Cashews, Mixed Nuts, a Harvest Medley Mix (featuring dried cranberries & dried cherries, cashews, pecans & pistachios), Prailine Pecans and Milk Chocolate Covered Almonds.

These are excellent nuts; great for baking and they also make excellent Christmas presents. Each one pound bag is $15.00 and can be shipped for an additional $4.00 per bag.

2024 Calendar on sale now - $12.00 plus $3.00 for shipping.
